“Singer/Songwriter/Guitar Player - For more than 35 years Jason has been performing & writing honest road-worn songs with the spirit of country, folk and Canada."
Jay first picked up a guitar at 16 and soon became a fixture in the Kitchener-Waterloo music scene with cover bands such as Swish, The Diggies, and Ginger3.
By the 2000s, Jay was performing across Ontario and Canada with some of the region’s top tribute acts, including Dirty Little Secret (Melissa Etheridge), Almost Hip/Practically Hip (The Tragically Hip) and Katmandu (Bob Seger). He also toured as lead guitar with the Vegas-style impersonator show Footloose, which brought icons like Roy Orbison, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and Lady Gaga to life for major corporate events.
Alongside his tribute work, Jay never stopped writing original music. He co-wrote and played bass on Dana K and the Remedy’s 2016 debut Still Time and wrote songs for rock band Return to Echo, and pop-soul collective group Secret Keys.
Since 2021, Jay has focused on his country-folk-rock band Folklore Junction, Their debut album, Not This Time, was released on September 4, 2025.
